Role Description This is a full‑time, on‑site role for an RF Tower Technician located in California, United States. The RF Tower Technician will be responsible for installing, maintaining, repairing, and upgrading wireless communication equipment on towers and other structures.
Responsibilities
Install, maintain, repair, and upgrade wireless communication equipment on towers and other structures.
Climb towers to complete inspections and perform equipment upgrades.
Test and troubleshoot systems to ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.
Collaborate with team members to complete site surveys and document maintenance activities.
Qualifications
Knowledge and experience in RF systems, troubleshooting, and testing wireless communication equipment.
Proficiency in climbing towers and working at heights, including proper use of safety equipment.
Ability to read and understand technical diagrams, schematics, and documentation.
Basic understanding of electrical systems and mechanical installations.
Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Physical capability to work in varying weather conditions and perform manual tasks.
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Certifications such as OSHA, RF Awareness, CPR/First Aid, or tower climbing safety training are a plus.
Previous experience in the wireless or telecommunications industry is beneficial.
