CENTER RESPONSIBILITIES
Processes all personal timekeeping, travel reporting and other paperwork in a timely manner
Maintains professional attire and grooming appropriate for specific job position
Demonstrates punctual and regular attendance on the job
Reports for work ready to perform responsibilities
Supports the mission, goals, and objectives of the ESC
Upholds and adheres to safety rules and policies of the ESC
Performs professional responsibilities as required by ESC policies, processes, and procedures
Meets proficiency levels of required technology skills as outlined by supervisor
Incorporates appropriate technology in daily work and exhibits continual growth in technologies as outlined by supervisor
Exhibits professionalism in all situations at the ESC
Develops collaborative and positive relationships with schools and co-workers
Exhibits planning and leadership on assigned tasks and projects
Ability to take initiative and exhibit innovative thinking
Keeps supervisor advised of all pertinent financial and operations business
Ability to handle constructive criticism in a positive manner
Evidence of following-up and following-through with services
Evidence of professional loyalty
Other duties as assigned by supervisor
DEPARTMENT RESPONSIBILITIES
Ability to handle and see to completion multiple projects simultaneously and on deadline
Demonstrates positive attitude with excellent interpersonal skills
Willing to work as a member of a team but also independently
Upholds confidentiality of the information processed in all work, if required
Attends all called meetings including departmental staff meetings, work team meetings, and general staff meetings

Analyzes metrics, evaluates outcomes, and makes adjustments to optimize impact of work

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
Professional Development & Training
Provide training on research-based instructional strategies (RBIS) and instructional resources, Texas OER/Bluebonnet, Bluebonnet Product Academies, and Texas Curriculum Management Program Cooperative (TCMPC)
Deliver professional development on Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS) in preparation for state assessments
Support educators in developing and adapting instructional strategies and curriculum documents
Provide or support upfront training to build teacher’s knowledge and shared understanding of effective instructional practices
Deliver targeted coaching and modeling to teachers, using high-leverage action steps grounded in data to close gaps in practice and student outcomes
Data Analysis & Instructional Support
Analyze assessment data to identify needs and provide appropriate instructional interventions, strategies, and enrichment
Coordinate and provide technical assistance, training, and staff development to support program goals
Model and facilitate effective PLC leadership, teacher coaching, and data-analysis supporting grade-level, RBIS-aligned instruction, and use of High Quality Instructional Materials with fidelity
Collaboration & Partnerships
Work collaboratively with other Region 8 ESC consultants and teams to ensure instructional consistency
Establish and maintain partnerships with TEA and other relevant organizations to support instructional initiatives
Foster a culture of continuous improvement among campus leaders and teachers, reinforcing high expectations and collaborative, reflective practices
Actively participate in up-front and ongoing training and support, TEA focus groups, and consistent connections with ESC teams. Through these engagements, contribute to a culture of learning and continuous improvement through attendance and participation at all required sessions
Program Implementation & Reporting
Manage data collection and reporting to support ESC continuous improvement efforts
Travel to LEAs as required to fulfill program and project objectives, including out-of-region travel when necessary
Earn and maintain required certifications.
Special Assignments
Additional projects as assigned by supervisor or Executive Director
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT Up to 226 working days
This is an at-will employment position.
In the event of an economic slump, a reduction-in-force may be necessary. Employees will be notified in writing

QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor and Master’s degree in Education preferred
Valid Texas Teacher’s Certificate
Minimum 5 years experience in education
Knowledge of effective research: change process, systems thinking, organizational culture and adult learners
Ability to plan, implement, deliver, and sustain professional development
Advanced knowledge of curriculum practices, instruction, assessment, school improvement, and organizational culture
Knowledge of federal and state accountability programs
Recommended by the ESC Executive Director
