Job Summary The Fabrication job family ensures an environment of continuous improvement exists in the organization’s production processes, operating procedures, and workflows in order to achieve internal and external customer satisfaction. General areas of responsibility include ensuring smooth production flow and performing product inspections. The clerk will be responsible for receiving and distributing quality materials while maintaining accurate inventories. This position is responsible for receiving raw materials and various products, processing material receipts, and facilitating material movement between processes and facilities.
Physical Requirements Stand or sit (stationary position), walk (move, traverse), use hand/fingers to handle or feel, climb stairs/ladders or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, talk/hear, see, pushing or pulling, repetitive motion. Medium/Heavy work - exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
Responsibilities
Perform receiving functions in compliance with all applicable receiving, inventory control, and quality procedures.
Organize, transfer, and store product in the appropriate locations.
Inspect incoming materials to ensure they are in alignment with quality standards.
Check, verify, and audit material through weekly audits to include a written record of said audits.
Pull and issue material when needed and process paperwork for transaction completeness.
Record the proper information on required process paperwork, charts, checklists, or other control sheets.
Report damages or shortages to appropriate personnel.
Operate forklift and side loader to move material.
Maintain a professional demeanor when interacting with internal and external customers and represent the organization in a positive manner.
Be responsible for maintaining a clean and orderly work area.
Perform all work in accordance with established safety standards and adhere to all safety policies, rules, regulations, and procedures.
Perform other duties or functions as requested by management.
Required Skills
Strong sense of time organization and urgency.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively as a team member.
Experience in shipping/receiving preferred.
Excellent communication skills with problem solving abilities.
Attention to detail and follows instructions.
Knowledge of products and services of the company.
Must be organized and be able to multi-task in a professional and efficient manner.
Basic math skills and understanding of blueprints required.
Basic knowledge in Microsoft Suite applications (Outlook, Word, Excel).
