CUSTODIAN (Part-time) JOB SUMMARY Travis Hyde Properties is a local property management company that has been serving the Ithaca Community for 45 years. We maintain a friendly family atmosphere in our company. We all work for our tenants and strive to keep them happy. A part-time Custodian performs routine manual tasks in maintaining the cleanliness, sanitary conditions, and appearance of company buildings. This position reports to the Sr. Property Manager.
GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
Sweep, mop and vacuum floors.
Gather and empty trash.
Scrub, sanitize, and supply restroom facilities.
High and low dusting of furniture, walls, and equipment.
Clean windows, mirrors, and partitions.
Follow proper procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power machinery to prevent damage to floors and fixtures.
Shampoo or steam‑clean carpets and rugs.
Manage inventory of cleaning supplies.
Notify Property Managers of any visible maintenance issues.
Snow shoveling around the property.
Keep buildings and surrounding property in good order.
Other tasks as assigned.
SCHEDULE
Part-time (20 hours per week)
4-hour shifts
Available weeknights and weekends as needed

QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred.
Good communications skills
Previous experience preferred.
Able to stand, walk and bend.
Ability to carry up to 50lbs.
Close attention to detail
Must have reliable transportation.
