Retail Shortage Control - Part Time
Join our team as a Shortage Control Associate and contribute to a secure shopping environment while delivering exceptional customer service.
As a Shortage Control Associate (SCA), your presence and actions directly impact the store’s security and the overall shopping experience.
Responsibilities
Maintain a professional appearance and presence at all times, wearing designated dress standards, radio and earpiece.
Stand at the front of the store, remaining vigilant and aware of surroundings.
Greet every customer entering or exiting the store with a warm smile and a loud, friendly greeting.
Create a secure environment and reduce opportunities for theft.
Monitor the entrance for the entire shift, reducing opportunities for theft, shoplifting and other dishonest activities.
Engage customers and associates consistently with a confident, friendly and energetic greeting, maintaining eye contact and a smile.
Identify and report theft incidents and/or suspicious persons to the Manager on Duty.
Conduct bag and package checks on store and corporate associates in accordance with safety and security standards.
Qualifications & Experience
1+ year of experience in customer service, hospitality, retail, asset protection, loss prevention or operations (preferred).
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and visually monitor store environment.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and review, analyze and comprehend business trends.
Strong communication skills and ability to exhibit a positive demeanor, strong posture and energetic greeting.
Ability to work in a fast‑paced, high‑pressure environment with detail focus and disciplined decision making.
Excellent communication with customers and co‑workers and leadership skills that support productive business relationships.

Compensation Base Pay: $16.9 per hour.
