Position Summary The primary functions of the Delivery Helper are to load, locate job sites, backing, preparing and restoring the job site, and preparing the truck for the following day and maintaining the truck and equipment.

Duties & Responsibilities

Comply with company, state, and federal guidelines, particularly related to OSHA and DOT, to ensure the safety of all personnel

Perform pre-trip inspections of equipment, paperwork, and loaded product to ensure order accuracy

Safely unload product and deliver to assigned areas as directed by the customer

Secure mud, equipment, metal, and pallets on the truck

Navigate routes to assigned job sites

Basic Qualifications

Ability to read, write, and communicate information accurately

Stamina to lift at least 75 lbs. to carry materials such as drywall materials and joint compound

Physical Requirements

Must be able to remain standing approximately 90% of the time

Constantly move materials from commercial motor vehicles onto job sites

Constantly position self to unload and load materials from flatbed or boom

Frequently move materials weighing up to 100 lbs. while unloading and loading flatbed

Must be able to communicate with management and coworkers and exchange accurate information

Constantly work in an outdoor environment while making deliveries

Must be able to prioritize job sites and deadlines

Must be able to manage stress depending on customer deadlines

Must be able to multitask

Must be able to receive information and directions

Must be able to quickly communicate solutions if problems occur

Must be able to demonstrate a high degree of sound judgment

The base salary for this position typically falls within the range of $0.00 to $25.00 per hour. Starting wage may vary based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, the position being offered, location, education, training, and/or experience. SRS Distribution offers additional competitive and non-financial benefits. Hourly associates may be eligible for overtime based on business needs. Depending on the role, associates may also be eligible for performance-based bonus programs, or commissions.
