$17.50 - $18 per hour
Schedules
Full‑time: Monday‑Friday 7:00 am‑3:00 pm
Part‑time 1: Saturday & Sunday 3 pm‑11 pm
Part‑time 2: Saturday & Sunday 3 pm‑11 pm
Part‑time 3: Saturday & Sunday 7 am‑3 pm
About Us ADESA, a Carvana‑owned company, operates more than 50 auto auction locations across the United States, each spanning up to 200 acres. We provide a full range of vehicle services—including repair and reconditioning, auction remarketing, and distribution—as well as customer and vendor support.
Role and Team As a Security Guard you will protect associates, customers, and assets at our facility. You will serve as the face of ADESA to customers, vendors, and associates, support vehicle‑location research, use ADESA technology, and follow Inventory Control procedures. The position may require various shifts and weekend work.
Responsibilities
Secure all gates and buildings, patrol premises, and activate alarms in emergencies.
Verify authorized individuals and vehicles, provide directions, and check gate passes.
Guard departing vehicles against theft.
Greet customers and resolve complaints in a friendly manner.
De‑escalate difficult situations and collaborate with partners.
Enter vehicle information using handheld devices, ensuring VIN accuracy.
Report irregularities such as fire hazards or unsecured doors.
Maintain lists of keys, codes, and emergency contacts.
Ensure equipment and devices are functional; notify management of maintenance.
Maintain a professional appearance and orderly work environment.
Practice and promote teamwork; communicate with auction team members.
Skills and Attributes
1–2 years in a customer‑service environment.
Strong attention to detail, communication, and conflict‑resolution skills.
Proficient data entry on handheld devices or computers.
Ability to organize, plan, and execute multiple tasks in a fast‑paced setting.
Strong customer‑service orientation and teamwork.
Qualifications
High‑school diploma or GED preferred.
Ability to work in all weather conditions.
Computer data‑entry skills required.
Regular and predictable attendance required.
Minimum age 18 with a valid driver’s license.
Ability to safely drive various vehicle types.
Ability to stand for extended periods.
