Responsibilities
Show self‑direction and initiative with minimal supervision at the IOM Technologist – Intra‑Operative Specialist level.
Master basic EEG and EP acquisition and artifact detection/elimination skills.
Apply advanced techniques independently to intra‑operative monitoring of complex procedures.
Describe EEG and EP findings to junior faculty in a review‑style format.
Learn new and advanced protocols when needed and serve as a resource for junior staff.
Take responsibility for specific aspects of laboratory organization and serve as the lead lab team member for those individual areas of responsibility.
Maintain registration credentials as a Certified Neurological Intra‑operative Monitorist (CNIM) and acquire continuing education units as recommended by the national accrediting body in the field, keeping up to date in changes and advances.
Qualifications
Completion of an electroencephalography program or an equivalent combination of education, experience, knowledge and abilities essential to the successful performance of the duties assigned to the position – strongly preferred.
ABRET certification (CNIM) – required for IONM Tech.
R. EEG T. Certification – required for Senior and Principle Tech.
BLS Certification – required for all Tech positions.
Salary Salary Range EEG Tech: $41.60 - $54.87 Salary Range Senior EEG Tech: $45.06 - $59.45 Salary Range: Principle EEG Tech: $59.64 - $78.69 Salary Range: IONM Technologist: $66.41 - $82.58
