A fitness instructor designs and leads exercise programs for individuals or groups, focusing on helping clients achieve health and fitness goals like weight loss or strength building by teaching proper techniques, monitoring progress, ensuring safety, providing motivation, and often giving nutritional guidance. They assess fitness levels, create personalized workout plans, demonstrate equipment use, modify exercises for injuries, and track client results to promote overall wellness NOTE: This is a PRN position (not part-time or full-time). Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Client Assessment & Planning - Evaluate client needs, goals, fitness levels, and health conditions to create personalized workout routines. Instruction & Demonstration - Teach proper form for exercises, demonstrate techniques, and show correct usage of gym equipment. Motivation & Support - Encourage and motivate clients during sessions, build positive relationships, and hold them accountable. Progress Monitoring - Track client progress, measure fitness metrics, and adjust programs as needed. Safety & Emergency Care - Enforce hygiene guidelines, ensure client safety during workouts, and administer first aid or CPR if necessary. Education - Provide advice on healthy lifestyle choices, nutrition, and sustainable habits. Group & Individual Sessions - Lead both one-on-one training and larger group classes. Qualifications
