Terminal Technician

Key Responsibilities Terminal Operations
Perform daily terminal operations, including product transfers, tank monitoring, and equipment startup/shutdown.
Ensure all product handling activities meet company and regulatory standards for quality and safety.
Conduct routine inspections of tanks, pumps, meters, valves, and piping systems.
Safely operate loading/unloading systems for trucks, pipelines, and other assets.
Monitor and maintain terminal automation systems, Terminal Management System (TMS) and Human Machine Interface (HMI) inputs, and applicable logs.
Maintenance and Inspection
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation systems.
Support troubleshooting of equipment issues and coordinate repairs as needed.
Assist in maintaining facility readiness and ensure all operational equipment is functioning properly.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance, inspections, and calibration activities.
Compliance and Safety
Follow all safety protocols, including proper use of PPE, Lockout/Tagout procedures, and confined space entry requirements.
Ensure compliance with DOT, EPA, OSHA, and other applicable regulations.
Participate in emergency response drills and maintain familiarity with site‑specific plans.
Support spill prevention and response initiatives.
Administrative and Support Activities
Complete daily operational logs and inspection reports.
Assist with inventory tracking, product reconciliation, and system documentation.
Support project work and upgrades under the guidance of the supervisor or engineering team.
Work collaboratively with peers and contractors to ensure safe and efficient terminal performance.

Qualifications Legal Authorization
Legal authorization to work permanently in the United States for any employer without requiring a visa transfer or visa sponsorship.
Basic Qualifications
High school diploma or GED.
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record, maintained throughout employment.
Mechanical aptitude with experience in industrial operations, oil & gas, terminals, or related fields.
Ability to respond to the Helena terminal within 1 hour of an emergency call.
Strong safety mindset, attention to detail, and commitment to following procedures.
Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office, control systems, terminal management systems).
Preferred Qualifications
Two years of experience in pipeline or terminal operations.
Knowledge of terminal systems including pumps, motors, meters, and valves.
Understanding of environmental and regulatory compliance requirements.
OSHA 10/30 certification, HAZWOPER training, or similar credentials.
