Job Overview RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a highly dedicated ED Technician for Community Medical Center. Community Medical Center is a 592‑bed, fully accredited acute care hospital offering world‑class medical treatment with the comforts of hometown care.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
BLS required (American Heart Association).
Preferred: Previous nursing assistant experience or clinical experience from an accredited nursing program. Certified nursing assistant preferred.
Scheduling Requirements Day Shift, Full‑Time Shift 6a‑6p. Evening shift. Maximum 8‑hour shifts.
Essential Functions
The ED Technician is a direct patient caregiver who assists patients with activities of daily living and provides nursing care, including phlebotomy and EKGs.
Provide patient care based on physical, educational, safety, and related criteria appropriate to the age of the patients in the assigned service.
Ensure effective and safe patient outcomes through practice, judgment, and critical actions.
Communicate ongoing with patients and nursing colleagues regarding status of patient’s care.
Participate in the collaboration of patients’ plan of care from admission to discharge to ensure safe transitioning.
