We are responsible for providing operational oversight, day‑to‑day management, and assist drivers in safe operation of routes.

Monitor/Aide Responsibilities

Know the route and monitor the welfare of passengers while on route.

Communicate behavior problems and conditions of various stops with the driver.

Assist in pre‑trip and post‑trip inspections of the bus.

Assist students in the loading and unloading process.

Cooperate and communicate with school personnel, students, and parents.

Attend all safety and training meetings.

Conduct emergency evacuation from the bus, including use of emergency exit doors.

Open and close service doors and move up and down steps multiple times daily.

Clean the inside of the bus.

Assist driver when necessary to safely direct the vehicle backwards.

Required Experience and Skills

Good verbal communication skills

Attention to detail

Early morning availability

Judgment/problem solving skills

Ability to manage high degrees of stress
