Lead Steward The Westin La Paloma Resort & Spa is looking for a Lead Steward to maintain the highest standards of cleanliness, sanitation, and organization in our kitchens and stewarding areas.

Responsibilities

Oversee and coordinate the stewarding staff in daily cleaning and dishwashing duties.

Maintain sanitation and hygiene standards in compliance with health and safety regulations.

Monitor and manage inventory of cleaning supplies, chemicals, and stewarding equipment.

Support the culinary team by ensuring timely and efficient dish and utensil turnaround.

Implement and maintain systems for waste management, recycling, and sustainability initiatives.

Assist with training, mentoring, and scheduling stewarding staff to build a high-performing team.

Ensure stewarding equipment is well maintained and coordinate repairs when needed.

Other duties as assigned.

Professional Experience

Previous experience as a Stewarding Supervisor, Lead Steward, or equivalent in hospitality or food service.

Demonstrated ability to manage dishwashing and stewarding teams effectively.

Hands‑on experience with commercial dishwashing equipment and cleaning procedures.

Proven track record of maintaining sanitation standards and compliance with health regulations.

Experience in inventory management and basic administrative duties.

Academic Background

High school diploma or equivalent required.

Additional training or certification in sanitation, food safety, or hospitality operations preferred.
