Summary / Objective The Hydro Blast Technician will perform a wide range of physical activities requiring strength and flexibility for handling, positioning, moving, and manipulating equipment and materials, emergency response, vacuum truck operations, waste disposal, site remediation, and high‑pressure water blasting.
Responsibilities
Operate and set up all necessary cleaning equipment such as high‑pressure pumps, in‑service line hydro‑blasting, and vacuum equipment in accordance with operational, training, and safety procedures.
Adhere to all safety policies and practices, including personal protective gear.
Work safely in and around heavy machinery in loud, hazardous, and heavy industrial settings.
Manually clean, install, fit, and repair valves, caps, hoses, pumps, gaskets, and other external and internal equipment on tanks.
Assist in inspecting equipment, hoses, connections, pumps, and the general work area before starting any job; inform supervisor of deficiencies that may cause accidents, injuries, or lost productivity.
Qualifications
High School diploma or equivalent.
Active TWIC card or the ability to obtain one (required for field work).
Valid driver’s license or state‑issued ID.
Capable of passing a hair follicle and urine drug screen.
Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions.
Basic safety training skills.
Experience with hydro blasting or pressure cleaning preferred, but not required.
General labor experience is a plus.
Physical Requirements
Physically capable of performing all duties and responsibilities assigned.
Able to lift at least 50 pounds.
Capable of standing and/or walking continuously for long periods of time as needed.
Capable of climbing, balancing, bending/stooping, and kneeling continuously.
