Shop Technician
Position Summary
Performs duties ranging from Check‑in through load‑out which may include maintenance, wash‑mat, repair, rebuild, testing, and low‑pressure operations of Supreme Service equipment and materials.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Receives and follows oral and written instructions from supervisors to complete projects.
Loads and unloads material to and from pallets, baskets, by hand, or using alternative lifting equipment.
Uses a variety of tools and equipment to disassemble, repair, and reassemble Supreme equipment.
Properly identifies materials and distributes them to their staging area.
Maintains good housekeeping skills of the work area daily.
May be assigned to assist in other work areas as job demands dictate.
May perform simple adjustments and/or repairs to equipment within a work area as directed.
Other Duties & Responsibilities
Participates in Safety and Quality programs.
Helps others to perform job tasks successfully.
Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Qualification Requirements
Entry‑level position requiring basic working knowledge of oil‑field related activities and some mechanical knowledge.
Previous rental tool experience is helpful; on‑the‑job training will be provided for the specific equipment maintenance applications of the company policies and procedures.
Completion of Core Employee Safety Orientation and other training as identified on the SSI Employee Training Matrix.
Physical Requirements
Heavy work classification.
Exerts 50 lbs. frequently and/or occasionally.
Long periods of sitting, standing, stooping, bending, kneeling, and reaching.
Pushes / pulls while exerting manual force.
Works outdoors.
Works with moving equipment.
Engages in repetitive motions and manual handling of material.
Manually tightens or loosens hammer‑type union connections using overhand swinging of a 4‑12‑pound hammer.
Works at a rapid, but efficient safe pace.
