Fire Sprinkler Layout Technician

Position Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated Layout Technician to join our team. You will provide an essential part within our design team. This role plays a vital part in maintaining the success and quality of our fire protection installations.
Responsibilities
Layout: Design and layout fire sprinkler systems in accordance with all NFPA codes and Fire Marshal requirements. Utilizing AutoSprink or similar software to create accurate and efficient sprinkler system layouts.
Calculations: Perform all preliminary and final hydraulic calculations and size piping for fabrication and installation according to jobsite conditions.
Project Turnover: Work with the Estimator/Project Manager for the transfer of project information, including estimated materials, preliminary designs, water flow information and architectural/mechanical construction documents.
Surveying: Conduct site surveys and inspections as needed to gather necessary information for design purposes.
Field Assistance: Provide technical support and guidance to installation teams during project execution.
Data Entry and Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of customer and project information in our CRM system.
Other Duties: Perform other layout tasks as assigned by management.
Qualifications
AutoCAD experience. (AutoSprink/HydraCAD experience preferred)
Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively with the ability to meet deadlines.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Familiarity with customer relationship management (CRM) software a plus.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
A keen eye for detail and accuracy.
Positive attitude and professional demeanor.
Understanding of fire protection terminology, a plus.
NICET Level I-III certifications, a plus.
Ability to read and interpret construction documents and specifications, a plus.
Education Requirements
HS Diploma or GED Required.
