The Role As a Senior Flower Technician, you will perform a variety of plant maintenance activities to ensure the highest quality flower for our patients and consumers to enjoy. You will ensure the healthy growth of our cannabis plants and keep a safe, positive work environment and culture. Additionally, you will be responsible for training new employees on our SOPs and best practices and performing required computer work.

Responsibilities

Safety, Quality & Compliance

- Participate in department safety audits and hazard assessments, train new hires on department 5S requirements, ensure all employees execute processes in the guidelines of department specific training, report and escalate safety concerns, train employees on compliance with PPE and area safety requirements, train employees on compliance with GMP, biosecurity, sanitation or other quality and compliance requirements, train employees on all company and state required record keeping is accurate and complete, train employees on tools, equipment and machinery, ensure department inventory requirements are met, report and upscale quality concerns.

Production

- Use hands and hand tools to perform plant maintenance activities including defoliation, pruning, skirting; can function as a stand in for an area lead; communicate production goals and maintain tracking of performance; execute IPM activities, including spraying and all associated requirements of spraying.

Job Knowledge

- Follow department specific work instructions, SOPs and employee training; develop deep technical knowledge for the department; recognize different strains, requirements associated with the strain, growth patterns and identify anomalies within the plants and recommend actions to address.

Continuous Improvement

- Participate in continuous improvement projects.

Qualifications

- Associate's degree or Certifications preferred; a minimum of one year of experience working in a manufacturing or agricultural environment; intermediate level computer skills in Microsoft Office Applications; effective time-management skills and ability to multi-task; ability to work well with others while also completing individually assigned tasks; ability to work in a fast-paced, changing and challenging environment; must be able to comply with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) requirements; must be able to work in an environment that is 85+ degrees and 70% humidity for extended periods; must be able to work at heights; prior cannabis experience not required.

Additional Requirements

- Must pass all required background checks and approval by state badging agency to work in the cannabis industry; must be and remain compliant with all legal or company regulations for working in the industry; must possess valid driver’s license; must be a minimum of 21 years of age.

Working Conditions

- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to perform reaching, grasping, bending, stooping, talking, hearing, seeing and repetitive motions; must be able to lift, carry, and balance up to 50 pounds and must be able to do so with extreme care and caution while working with product; work involves daily exposure to allergens (such as cannabis, tree nuts, and coconut oil).

Pay Range The pay range is competitive and based on experience, qualifications, and/or location of the role. Positions may be eligible for a discretionary annual incentive program driven by organization and individual performance.

$20.50—$21 USD
