Senior Safety Watch is a volunteer-run nonprofit dedicated to helping seniors and caregivers navigate today’s digital world with confidence. We focus on practical education, building digital literacy, and protecting communities from online scams and misinformation. Our tone is warm, clear, and human-first, we meet people where they are.
The Role We’re looking for a volunteer
Email Marketer
to help expand our communications and keep our growing community informed through monthly emails and blog posts. You’ll play a key role in shaping our voice across channels, turning complex topics like AI, technology, and online safety into approachable, engaging stories.
What You’ll Do
Plan and publish posts to maintain a consistent online presence
Write and schedule our
monthly newsletter , featuring updates and tips
Draft and edit
two blog posts per month
on timely topics related to technology, scams, and digital literacy.
Collaborate with the Senior Safety Watch board and volunteers to brainstorm new story ideas and outreach opportunities.
Use
Canva
and
WordPress
to create, publish, and manage content.
Attend 1 hour virtual meeting per week
What You Bring
Experience or education in
marketing, communications, or journalism .
Excellent writing skills with a knack for simplifying complex ideas.
Comfort using tools like Canva, WordPress, and email marketing platforms (e.g., Mailchimp).
A collaborative spirit and genuine interest in helping adults and caregivers feel empowered online.
