Certified Pilates Instructor – Per Diem
Hospital for Special Surgery is seeking a Certified Pilates Instructor to join our dynamic team at an offsite center. While utilizing a traditional and a rehabilitative approach for progression, the successful candidate will work with our world‑class staff to provide the highest quality of care to our patients.
Emp Status: Per Diem Part time.
Compensation Range: The base pay scale for this position is $58.00 – $58.00. Additional benefits are consistent with the role. Salary will be determined based on experience, education, accomplishments, internal equity, budget and fair market value evaluation.
Responsibilities
Assess and appropriately design individualized and group Pilates‑based exercise programs for client and patient populations in a medical setting.
Provide timely and accurate documentation of services.
Provide support and education to patients, families and other staff regarding Pilates Method of Exercise and procedures.
Ensure patient care and interactions are aligned with Hospital for Special Surgery’s commitment to excellence.
Display strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact with administrative teams and clients.
Be self‑reliant in building client base schedules.
Qualifications
Current NCPT certification through the National Pilates Certification Program.
2+ years of experience working with clients who suffer from orthopedic conditions.
Certification to include: Mat, Reformer, Cadillac, Chair, Barrel and props.
Individual Liability Insured.
Completed continued education courses for special populations (osteoporosis, arthritis, spine, joint replacements).
Additional certification and education in related movement sciences or exercise physiology preferred.
Dynamic self‑starter with a strong interest in mentoring clinical physical therapy staff.
Highly committed to professional, collegial and organizational development; willing to participate in educational ventures for staff, community and professional audiences.
Superior written and oral communication skills.
