As the Front Desk Manager, you will play a vital role in supporting the day-to-day administrative functions that keep the park running smoothly.
Job Summary We are looking for Front Desk Managers to join our lodging operations this summer. Front Desk Managers are responsible for leading a team that checks guests into hotel rooms, provides great customer service and are subject‑matter experts on Yellowstone National Park.
Position Details
Position Type: Seasonal
Season Dates: April 2026 – October 2026
Pay: $1,836 – $2,136 bi‑weekly
Schedule: Typical schedule is 40 hours, 5 days per week (may include weekends, evenings, and holidays)

Responsibilities
Resolve guest problems skillfully with a willingness and desire to understand a guest’s viewpoint and to take necessary steps so that the guest is satisfied when they leave.
Perform all duties toward the goal of maximizing guest service while meeting or exceeding financial goals.
Help in the development of Front Office personnel throughout the season.
Ensure Front Office personnel are offering the Yellowstone Forever donation, environmental program and open accounts to guests during the check‑in process.
Provide constructive feedback to staff and prepare employee documentation as needed.
Regulate shift coverage for optimum effectiveness by scheduling staff according to business levels and labor standards.
Ensure daily paperwork is completed in a timely manner and accurately, including bus illness forms, daily reports, EOA form, and guest refund tracking sheets.
Assure dress, appearance, and conduct policies established by Xanterra and the Lodging Department are followed and enforced.
Other duties as assigned on-site by operations managers.
Qualifications
Human relations skills. Must be a "people‑person" who thrives on public contact.
Previous management or supervisory experience.
Knowledge of computer programs such as Microsoft Outlook.
Communication, sales, cash handling, and computer skills required.
Physical Requirements
Lifting/carrying up to 30 lbs.
Making beds, bending, kneeling, stretching as needed.
Standing for long periods of time and walking up or down stairs as well as outdoors.
