The Archer School for Girls is seeking a skilled and experienced long‑term substitute Fitness and Wellness teacher to begin on January 5th, 2026 through the end of the school year. The role involves teaching Fitness and Human Development to middle school students using a student‑centered approach.
Responsibilities
Teach 4–5 classes each week.
Serve as a mentor to students.
Coach a co‑curricular sport.
Our Fitness Department
Offers a holistic view of wellness and wellbeing.
Empowers students to build mindful, healthy habits of mind and body.
Develops students’ self‑awareness.
Offers opportunities for students to define and support their own personal fitness goals.
Creates opportunities for movement and mindfulness.
Demonstrates commitment to supporting equity and inclusion.
Ideal Candidate
Holds a college degree.
Has experience working in a Fitness‑related field.
Collaborates well with colleagues.
Routinely reflects and seeks feedback.
Enjoys working with young people.

The Archer School for Girls The Archer School for Girls is an educational community that supports and challenges young women to discover their passions and realise their true potential. Pay Range $2,956.54 – $4,320.00 per year, paid semi‑monthly.
