Salary: $19,008 - $36,408 (base; may increase with years‑of‑service adjustments or shift differentials).
Responsibilities
Maintain interior of facilities to a high level of cleanliness, sanitation, and safety.
Responsible for routine maintenance of all custodial and grounds equipment.
Keep accurate inventory of supplies and equipment and notify building administrator of items to be ordered.
Knowledge of and perform work in compliance with the Asbestos Hazards Emergency Response Act.
Maintain and perform work in compliance with Material Safety Data Sheets for all chemicals used.
Maintain grounds, cut grass, and perform snow removal as necessary.
Prepare comprehensive prioritized cleaning/maintenance schedules (daily/weekly/monthly tasks).
Provide training for other custodians in use of equipment and cleaning supplies.
Maintain confidentiality of parent, student, and personally identifiable information.
Maintain CPR certification at the level determined by the American Heart Association or Red Cross as Basic Life Support Health Care Providers.
Participate in staff development as necessary to keep custodial skills updated and current.
Qualifications & Experience
High School diploma or G.E.D.
Minimum of two years experience in custodial service.
(Other qualifications and experience, which in the opinion of the Commissioner of Education meet the requirements of the position, may be accepted in lieu of the above.)
