Painting & Wallpaper Specialist
North Las Vegas, NV | $23.00 - $28.00 per hour
Responsibilities
Use various paints (latex, oil, epoxy, and lacquers) and chemicals (acids, thinners, and reducers) for assigned duties.
Prepare walls for hanging wallpaper.
Learn and follow safety procedures to ensure proper operation of all equipment (respirators, safety glasses, gloves, and lifts).
Color match paint and finishes as required for specific jobs.
Perform faux finishes (sponging, fogging, ragging, glazing, and graining) as required.
Refinish furniture using water‑base and oil‑base products.
Tape and texture surfaces for specific jobs.
Spray paints and chemicals using airless sprayers and conventional equipment.
Have knowledge of automotive paints used on some carts.
Work on remodel and construction jobs from start to finish, covering painting, wallpaper, and taping phases.
Conduct frequent inventory of materials and equipment to ensure adequate stock.
Communicate effectively with management and co‑workers.
Use proper radio etiquette and protocol.
Perform all duties as deemed necessary for the success of the department.
Qualifications
At least four years of commercial or residential experience as a journeyman painter.
Minimum of four years previous painting experience at a hotel or resort.
Knowledge of paint-related materials and chemicals.
Must have or be able to obtain a Nevada Driver’s License.
Previous work with hanging wallpaper, airless and conventional paint sprayers, and taping preferred.
Excellent customer service skills.
