Position Overview: Directs crew members and equipment and plans and executes assigned work or tasks.
What You’ll Do
Climb trees using Davey’s DdRT/MRS and SRT/SRS climbing systems.
Lead a crew in providing arboricultural care for our clients.
Apply the Jobsite Hazards, Obstacles, Plan, Equipment (H.O.P.E.) process.
Prune, thin, and remove deadwood throughout the tree canopy.
Install cables, bracing, and lightning protection systems.
Remove hazardous trees.
Mentor crew members through the Davey Career Development Program.
Maintain, prepare, and operate all tools and equipment including chainsaws, chippers, aerial lifts, and more.
Qualifications
Love of the outdoors.
Complete the Davey Tree Trimmer Orientation Program upon hire.
Complete the Davey Tree First Aid, CPR, and defensive driving course upon hire.
Preferred: Relevant pesticide and related licenses and certificates.
Preferred: ISA Certified Arborist®, ISA Certified Tree Worker®, and/or TCIA Certified Tree Care Safety Professional®.
