Salary: $60,000.00–$65,000.00 (see Athletic Coaches Salary Schedule

Licenses, Registrations or Certifications

Head coaches must hold a current AED/CPR certificate upon hire.

Assistant coaches must hold a current First Aid/CPR certificate or be willing to obtain one.

All coaches must be a CDE‑licensed teacher or hold a valid coaching registration with CHSAA upon hire.

Coaches in Colorado must hold a current concussion certification from the NFHS or Children’s Hospital Colorado upon hire.

All coaches must pass the CHSAA annual coaching exam.

Education and Related Work Experience

Previous coaching experience and/or participation at the high school or college level is preferred.

Technical Skills, Knowledge & Abilities

Ability to supervise students and enforce district, school, league, and CHSAA rules and regulations.

Possess knowledge and skills in volleyball.

Ability to plan, organize, and successfully direct the sport.

Ability to perform and teach advanced techniques in volleyball.

Ability to promote and follow Board of Education policies, Superintendent policies, and building and department procedures.

Effective communication and collaboration with diverse student populations.

Recognize the importance of safety, follow safety rules, use appropriate safety equipment, and report unsafe conditions.

Necessary Skills and Background Hold a current First Aid/CPR certificate or be willing to obtain one. Have previous coaching experience and/or participation at the high school or college level.
