The Role The Slot Attendant is responsible for monitoring the performance of slot machines, activity, and conditions of casino slot areas, as well as ensuring all slot machines are operable and identified for repair as necessary.
Responsibilities
Observe all activity within assigned area, offering assistance and instruction on machine functions and payouts to slot players.
Know the various types of slot machines, and be able to identify major malfunctions and to correct minor machine malfunctions.
Identify jackpots to be paid and complete them accurately.
Maintain monetary and paperwork accuracy and efficiency within department/property standards.
Adhere to regulatory, departmental, and Company policies in an ethical manner and empower and require others to do the same.
Qualifications
Must be able to obtain and maintain an Iowa Racing and Gaming Commission Class C license.
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Must possess excellent teamwork, interpersonal, customer service, and verbal communication skills.
Must be able to work a flexible schedule as required by business operations, including late nights, weekends, and holidays; shifts may change.
Able to effectively communicate in English via verbal and written.
