Job Title
Foglia YMCA is hiring part-time Fitness Attendants to join the team. This integral position on the Fitness Team could be your first step to building a career in fitness, or the next step in your fitness journey.
Salary $20.00 per hour

Responsibilities
Develop, motivate and maintain professional relationships with members by providing personal attention to all members and guests using a proactive approach.
Be an active marketing resource by discussing and promoting the YMCA fitness programs with our members.
Provide basic assistance and guidance to users of the fitness equipment when needed, acknowledging all members throughout the facilities.
Ensure a safe environment through constant circulation of the fitness and gymnasium facilities and promptly responding to safety and emergency situations.
Support the YMCA’s mission and center operations.
Minimum Requirements
A high school diploma or GED.
The ability to lift/carry up to 50 lbs. and push >50 lbs.
Personal Training certification preferred; if you do not currently have the certification be willing to obtain it.
A passion for and general knowledge of preventative health and fitness programs and philosophy.
Current American Red Cross CPR/AED and First Aid certifications or must obtain within thirty days of employment.
Child Abuse Prevention
Reporting any items that may provide a health or safety hazard to staff, members or guests to your supervisor.
Following all policies and procedures related to keeping children safe in our facilities and programs, including those related to the monitoring and supervision of children.
Reporting any suspicious behavior and violation of policy and procedures to your supervisor.
Completing all child abuse prevention training, as required.
