Overview
It is the responsibility of the Usher to assist the Entertainment Manager in seating and service of guests attending shows at Golden Nugget. This position must also exhibit a high level of professional and personalized guest service that embodies the Company’s brand standard and core values (K.E.E.P. - Kindness, Engagement, Empathy and Positivity).
Responsibilities
Set up showroom and align tables and chairs based on particular show floor plan and manager’s requirements, including adding and removing tables and chairs.
Set up and remove ropes and stanchions for VIP guests and regular guests, and place appropriate signage at the entrance to the showroom.
Handle all table setups, including letters, numbers and reserve signs.
Be knowledgeable in all aspects of the show, ticket, and general hotel information.
Handle phone inquiries and work with Ticket Office representatives.
Report areas in need of repair and maintenance.
Greet guests and assign guest seating.
Notify manager and assist in handling guest/employee incidents and/or accidents.
Handle service requirements and guest relation problems; assist manager with all guest relation functions.
Manage ticket stubs, guest head count and reconcile counts between ushers, servers and cashiers.
Assist with clearing the room and helping guests depart after the show.
Help with room clean up and restoration.
Contact PAD for general showroom cleaning.
Qualifications
Prior experience related to beverage service and guest relations.
Must have good people skills and a well-groomed appearance.
Must be at least 21 years of age.
Ability to work efficiently, independently and cohesively, consistently producing quality results.
High school diploma.
