The Express Lube Technician is responsible for performing minor repairs and inspections on vehicles in a quick thorough manner as assigned and in accordance with factory and dealership specifications and time standards.
Responsibilities
Performs oil changes on guest vehicles.
Inspects oil, cabin, air filters and vehicle fluid level and replaces or replenishes as necessary.
Check’s tire pressures and adds air, as needed.
Rotates tires and inspects brake linings/drums and brake pads/discs.
Performs a thorough check of guest’s vehicles, refers needed repairs and preventive maintenance to Service Consultant.
Documents all work performed on repair order and inspection sheet.
Operates and maintains in good condition all lubrication equipment.
Assists the service department, as needed.
Operates all tools and equipment in a safe manner.
Achieves the production objectives set by management.
Maintains assigned workspace in an organized and clean manner.
Maintains high ethical standards in all actions.
Maintains a high level of grooming, hygiene, and uniform appearance.
Qualifications
A high school diploma or equivalent.
Must have a valid TX driver’s license and an acceptable safe driving record.
Experience working as a lube technician in a dealership/shop or currently attending a trade school or automotive program is required.
Knowledge of automotive parts; basic mathematical principles (adding, subtracting, multiplying, dividing, and percentages) and application.

Adjusting, moving, and lifting objects up to 50 pounds.
Moving self in different positions to accomplish tasks in various environments including tight and confined spaces.
Remaining in a stationary position, often standing, or sitting for prolonged periods.
Operating motor vehicles and/or heavy equipment.
Ascending or descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, and poles.
