Seasonal Parks & Recreation Worker – Summer Camp Staff

Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or GED preferred; some directly related experience preferred; or an equivalent combination of training and experience. Excellent communication skills with a variety of ages. Leadership and problem-solving skills with both large and small groups.
Pre-employment Requirements Pre-employment drug testing, FBI criminal background check and education/degree verification required.
Job Responsibilities
Works closely with the Camp Supervisor in implementing scheduled activities.
Assist with the daily participant check-in process.
Responsible for safety and supervision of participants.
Organize all equipment and supplies needed for activities ahead of the scheduled activity time.
Communicate clearly to individuals and groups to explain activity steps, rules, and safety instructions to maintain an orderly activity and a safe environment.
Lead children of all ages, acting as a role model at all times.
Modify instructions and scope of activity to accommodate various age and skill levels so a safe and satisfying experience is had by all participants.
Enforce camp rules at all times, including safety measures unique to each different activity.
Perform other work as required.
Shift Shift varies; Monday - Friday: flexible hours between 7:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.; includes some evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Salary $17.64 - $20.74 per Hour
