Camp Host
Seeking experienced Camp Hosts to join the Lake Tahoe Hospitality team for the 2026 season at South Shore’s Lake Tahoe recreation area. The role offers a dynamic work environment in a world‑renowned destination, supporting tourism and environmental preservation.
Season:
mid‑May to mid‑October Weekly Hours:
35–40 hours (may vary with staffing needs)
Campground:
Nevada Beach – 50 sites, FHU, electric and golf cart provided, good cell service.
Responsibilities:
Provide courteous customer service and educate visitors on rules and regulations.
Perform administrative tasks such as fee collection, record keeping, and revenue processing.
Maintain facilities and grounds: cleaning, sanitizing, restrooms, trash, roadways, trails, campsites, picnic tables, fire rings, grills, and ash disposal.
Keep public areas litter‑free, including micro‑trash removal and trail maintenance.
Build positive relationships with employees, agency representatives, and visitors.
Report unsafe or hazardous conditions promptly.
Assist with retail sales of items such as firewood, ice, and concession goods.
Requirements:
Strong customer service orientation; enjoys public interaction.
Basic manual labor skills: cleaning and sanitizing with various agents and chemicals.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Money handling and record‑keeping experience.
Ability to work independently, learn quickly, and follow instructions.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Able to lift 20 pounds regularly and navigate rough, uneven terrain.
Experience working in extreme weather conditions.
RV/trailer/rig or manufactured van may be required; must be fully contained and able to tow own vehicle if applicable.
