Position Overview
We are seeking a responsible and motivated Resident Assistant (RA) to join our team in Creve Coeur, MO. The RA will play a key role in fostering a safe, inclusive, and engaging residential community for all residents. This position requires strong leadership, communication, and problem‑solving skills to support residents and promote a positive living environment.
Key Responsibilities
Serve as a resource and role model for residents, promoting community standards and policies in an assisted living/memory care facility.
Facilitate community‑building activities and events to encourage resident engagement.
Provide support and guidance to residents regarding personal, academic, and social concerns.
Respond promptly and effectively to emergencies and conflicts within the residence.
Conduct regular rounds and inspections to ensure safety and maintenance standards are met.
Collaborate with residence life staff and other RAs to maintain a positive living environment.
Assist in enforcing housing policies and reporting violations as necessary.
Maintain accurate records and documentation related to resident interactions and incidents.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent; current enrollment in college or university preferred.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to handle conflict and emergency situations calmly and effectively.
Demonstrated leadership and teamwork abilities.
Commitment to fostering an inclusive and respectful community.
Availability to live on‑site and participate in scheduled meetings and training sessions.
Work Environment This position requires living in the residence hall and being available during evenings and weekends to support residents. The RA will work closely with residence life staff and other student leaders to create a welcoming and safe environment.
