Job Title
Bartender – Myers Park Country Club – Charlotte, NC
Responsibilities
Greet members with a smile and understand name recognition.
Anticipate member needs and go above and beyond to accommodate.
Take food and beverage orders and enter them accurately into the Point‑of‑Sale system.
Serve food and beverages in a friendly and courteous manner and suggest daily menu specials and wine selections.
Be present throughout the dining experience to regularly check and refill beverages, clear dishes, and place additional orders.
Facilitate proper service techniques, such as serving from the left and clearing from the right.
Perform opening and closing dining‑room duties and side work (stocking beverages, polishing, and rolling silverware).
Maintain a high standard of safety and cleanliness.
Assist other team members as needed.
Attend training, menu tastings, and shift meetings.
Inspect the bar prior to opening to ensure adequate supplies are available, request additional supplies as necessary, and stock the bar.
Follow set‑up procedures, prepare garnishes, mix and pre‑mixed drinks, and serve drinks according to approved recipes.
Collect checks and payment for drinks served, and report complaints to a manager as soon as they occur.
Maintain and clean the bar area and equipment, and keep inventory records of liquors, beers, wine, and sundries.
Practice beverage and revenue control procedures and thank members and guests; invite them to return.
Complete other appropriate work assignments as requested by the beverage manager.
Qualifications
Excellent communication, hospitable, and interpersonal skills.
Must be willing to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Prior bartending experience preferred.
Must be at least 21 years old.
Frequently lift and carry up to 35 pounds, stand for long periods of time, and climb stairs.
Pre‑Employment candidates must pass a thorough background check and drug screen.
