General Responsibilities
Under direction of the school principal, plan and provide appropriate learning experiences for students.
Provide an atmosphere and environment conducive to the intellectual, physical, social, and emotional development of individuals.
Supervise students in a variety of school‑related settings.
Monitor and evaluate student outcomes.
Communicate and interact with students, parents, staff and community.
Develop, select and modify instructional plans and materials to meet the needs of all students.
Maintain appropriate records and follow required procedures and practices.
Monitor appropriate use and care of equipment, materials and facilities.

Ability to infuse technology into curriculum.
Ability to work effectively with administrators, colleagues, central office, school‑based staff, students, parents and community.
Excellent oral and written communication and human relations skills.
Reports To Principal or Designee
Full Time or Part Time: Full Time
Salary Range: From/To (not specified)
Anticipated Dates: January 2026 - TBD

Substitute Rates
Daily Rate: $125.00/per day if not licensed
Daily Rate: $135.00/per day if licensed
Long‑term Rate: $205.00/per day (after 20 consecutive days; eligible only if licensed with endorsement)
To be eligible for the long‑term rate of pay, qualified candidates must be licensed in Virginia with an endorsement in the subject area, or be immediately eligible for that license. Qualified candidates must be endorsed to teach the subject at the school level or be eligible for a teaching license in the subject area.
