Job Description As a Security Officer - Healthcare Access Control Driver in Waukegan, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare. You will help deter security-related incidents by monitoring entrances, conducting routine patrols, and serving as a visible presence for staff and visitors. This position requires driving responsibilities, so a valid driver’s license is necessary. What You'll Do
Monitor and control access to the healthcare facility, verifying identification and credentials of individuals entering the location.
Provide customer service by assisting visitors, patients, and staff with security-related inquiries and directions.
Follow site-specific procedures and policies related to access control, including the use of electronic systems and visitor logs.
Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly and professionally, taking appropriate action as needed.
Conduct regular and random patrols to deter unauthorized access and suspicious activity.
Communicate clearly and professionally with Allied Universal management, facility staff, and emergency personnel.
Document incidents, observations, and actions taken in detailed reports per Allied Universal and client requirements.
Minimum Requirements
A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Subject to a background investigation and drug screen in accordance with all applicable laws.
Allied Universal considers qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and may be required prior to employment.
