Part-Time Extended Day Teacher
Location: West New York, NJ
Work Hours:
Monday-Friday, 3:00 PM – 6:00 PM
Pay Rate:
$16.00–$18.00 (based on education and experience)
Overview Right At School provides local school districts with before and after school extended day programs focused on disguised learning activities and daily enrichment that support student success.
Responsibilities
Daily Program Meetings: review goals and updates, share ideas, discuss professional progress, encourage collaboration, and ensure team accountability.
Organize and Facilitate Daily Activities: prepare activities and curriculum aligned with program objectives; lead structured fitness, activities, and curriculum that are both educational and enjoyable.
Lead by Example: maintain a safe and nurturing environment, model positive guidance, and effective classroom management.
Prioritize Safety and Joy: monitor environment, address potential hazards, follow all safety protocols, and document attendance, incidents, and observations.
Communicate Effectively with children, parents, staff, and school personnel.
Qualifications
Outstanding customer service and relationship‑building skills.
Team‑orientated.
Minimum 1 year of experience working with children under 13 years of age.
Ability to lift 25 lbs.
Drive to inspire a love for learning and commitment to healthy living.
Flexibility to support additional local programs as needed.
New Jersey State Requirements
Ability to meet New Jersey state requirements.
First Aid and CPR (in‑person).
Cleared tuberculosis test.
Proof of MMR.
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Proof of High School diploma or GED required.
