The Chicago High School for the Arts (ChiArts) is now accepting applications for a licensed Paraprofessional. ChiArts develops the next generation of artistically gifted, diverse scholar‑artists through rigorous, pre‑professional arts training combined with a comprehensive college preparatory curriculum. We take a whole‑student approach, fostering continuous learning for both students and staff to ensure the highest level of support for our community. Our goal is to cultivate an inclusive, dynamic environment where every student thrives academically and artistically.
Position Summary The
Part‑time Paraprofessional
works under the direction of the Artistic Director and under the immediate supervision of a Special Education teacher holding a valid teaching certificate. The role assists in the instruction of disabled students, performs related duties as required, and provides support to children with a range of disabilities—including physical, visual, hearing, learning, behavioral, emotional, and mental impairments—in accordance with each student’s Individual Education Program (IEP).
Location: Chicago, IL Salary: $36,777.00 – $53,000.00
