Job Description Summary
A non-public charter school in West Chester, Ohio, is seeking a Middle School Math & Science Teacher to inspire and challenge students in grades 4–9 through engaging, inquiry-based learning. The school serves preschool through eighth grade and is dedicated to providing a supportive, academically focused environment where every student can grow in both skill and character. This role plays a key part in fostering curiosity, responsibility, and lifelong learning in middle school learners.
What You’ll Do
Plan and deliver clear, engaging instruction in math and science aligned with curriculum standards.
Use a variety of instructional strategies to reach students with diverse learning styles and abilities.
Design and administer consistent, objective assessments to evaluate student progress.
Adapt materials and methods to support individual learning needs.
Maintain effective classroom management and promote positive behavior and self-discipline.
Communicate effectively with students, colleagues, and families to support academic growth.
Participate in school initiatives, meetings, and professional collaboration.
Follow school policies and maintain professional conduct at all times.
What You’ll Need
Bachelor’s degree in education or related field.
Valid Ohio Resident Educator or Professional Teaching License for Middle Childhood (4–9) with Math and/or Science endorsement.
Knowledge of instructional best practices in math and science education.
Strong classroom management and organization skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office for maintaining records and reports.
Bonus Skills
Experience teaching middle school students.
Demonstrated ability to create engaging, student-centered lessons.
Collaborative mindset and willingness to work as part of a team.
Commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive school culture.
