Core Responsibilities And Essential Functions

Perform daily delivery and pick‑up of clean exchange and bulk linen carts to each unit requiring a cart in the facility.

Perform physical inventory of linen using a hand‑held device; record data (item counts) so it may be entered into Control‑Tex Inventory system.

Neatly place clean linen on carts/shelves and consolidate partially full carts; remove all empty carts and place them in hall.

Respond to units requesting additional linen when the supply on their cart has been depleted; provide only the quantities needed to allow operation until the next scheduled delivery.

Ensure deliveries/pick‑ups are completed according to established timetables/8‑hour shift and coordinate with staff and drivers for proper staging of carts.

Maintain cleanliness of the clean linen storeroom; ensure appropriate carts are returned to laundry and delivered to the facility.

Interact with customers to ensure linen is delivered within the appropriate timeframe and quantity is accurate.

Keep Spectralink (or other hospital‑provided phone/equipment) on, and in operation.

Comply with all Wellstar Health System policies, standards of work, and code of conduct.

Other Duties Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Minimum Education High School Diploma (General‑Preferred) or GED (General‑Preferred).

Required Minimum Certification(s) All certifications required upon hire unless otherwise stated.

Required Minimum Experience Previous linen delivery and inventory experience preferred; computer experience preferred.

Preferred Software Experience Control‑Tex software; Epic and 3M experience preferred.

Required Minimum Skills

Computer/data entry experience.

Ability to communicate with various members of the healthcare team.

Ability to use Excel, Word and basic computer operational knowledge.

Must be able to read, write and speak English.

Must understand verbal and written instructions.

Must be organized and attentive to detail.

Able to work quickly and efficiently.

Must be able to count and understand instructions given by supervisory staff.
