Department Summary The Department of Studio Art offers students an intensive exploration across a breadth of media. Students gain skills in team-based learning, technology, communication, aesthetic judgment, interdisciplinary and innovative approaches, critical analysis, and professional development.

Position Overview Please do not apply if unwilling to pose without clothing. Figure models will pose for beginner to advanced art classes. Classes are 2 hours and 50 minutes long. Typical pose length ranges from 1 minute to 20 minutes, with breaks for longer poses. Figure painting classes may require longer poses but breaks are provided. No experience required; faculty will provide training.

Minimum Qualifications Must be able to stay awake and hold poses for a minimum of 20 minutes; may include standing, sitting, or reclining. All body types and ages are encouraged. Prefer dependable people with open schedules who live close to campus. Applicants must email the Model Coordinator, lindsey.bass@unt.edu, stating interest and that they understand the position requires posing nude.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities No previous experience is required; training will be provided.

Job Duties

Remain awake and hold poses for at least 20 minutes, in standing, sitting, or reclining positions.

Physical Requirements Communicating with others to exchange information.

Environmental Hazards No adverse environmental conditions expected.

Work Schedule Flexible schedule: classes are scheduled Monday–Thursday, in blocks 8‑11 a.m., 11 a.m.–2 p.m., 2–5 p.m., and 5–8 p.m.
