Job Description
This position performs a variety of cleaning, maintenance, food preparation, stocking, or serving duties in a commercial hotel food service area.
Responsibilities
Wash food service area objects by hand or with cleaning equipment.
Clean dishes, utensils, pots, pans, etc. and place them in assigned storage areas in an organized and orderly manner.
Clean, sweep, mop and wipe down all general food service areas and equipment.
Remove garbage from assigned areas, set up or break down tables, etc.
May assist cooks or others as needed and coordinate one's own activities with other food service activities and requirements.
Properly, safely and efficiently prepare food products while following standard food‑handling procedures.
Assist with various periodically scheduled large cleaning projects.
May maintain a variety of products at certain levels in preparation, serving, or storage areas including service machines.
May stock storage areas with various products.
Other duties pertinent to the department or unit's success may also be assigned.
Qualifications
Must be fluent in speaking, reading, and writing English.
Preferred Qualifications
High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
Some prior experience or training that demonstrates knowledge of cleaning equipment/processes or a suitability for and interest in this type of work, preferred.

Required to stand constantly; walk frequently; occasionally lift, pull and push.
