Job Summary
This is hourly paid work performing and assisting with food service duties. Seeking a candidate with a passion for food services and motivation for advancement to fill a food service worker position. This position is part-time and requires less than 30 hours per week and is not eligible for benefits. NOTE: This is a 29 hour per week position. Under direct supervision learns to prepare, heat and finish cooking food items and serve customers. Learns how to receive and disburse money in a food service establishment. Cleans work areas, equipment, utensils, dishes, and silverware.
Job Specific Duties
Cleans work areas, equipment, utensils, dishes, and silverware
Cleans, peels, slices and trims foodstuffs using manual and electric appliances
Conducts or assists with food supply requisitions and sanitation and maintenance inspections
Receives payment for food items
Replenishes supplies of food, condiments, and equipment at steam tables and service bars
Stores food in designated containers and storage areas to prevent spoilage
Unpacks and stores supplies, raw and prepared food products
Minimum Qualifications
An equivalent combination of knowledge, education, job or intern experience, training, or certifications that provides the necessary knowledge and skills to successfully perform the job at the level listed.
Preferred Qualifications
In addition to Entry Qualifications, Preferred Qualifications may be added by the agency.
