They ensure technicians have the right gear, from cable spools to specialized electronics, preventing costly delays in installing and maintaining networks. Key Responsibilities
Inventory Management: Tracking parts, equipment, and materials for various telecom jobs (fiber, copper, wireless). Receiving & Shipping: Handling incoming deliveries and preparing outgoing shipments for field technicians. Staging & Kitting: Organizing and preparing specific parts and tools for upcoming projects or service orders. Warehouse Operations: Operating forklifts, power tools, and maintaining a clean, organized space. Procurement Support: Creating purchase orders and processing returns (RMAs). Facilities: May involve managing warehouse facilities and equipment. This role supports roles like Telecom Technicians, Fiber Splicers, Field Engineers, and Linemen by ensuring they have what they need to work efficiently. It is a vital support role within the broader telecommunications industry, keeping the infrastructure of internet, phone, and cable services running. Skills & Environment
Skills: Organization, attention to detail, operating machinery, basic computer skills, physical stamina, safety awareness. Environment: Can be fast-paced, involving physical labor, working with complex telecom gear, and sometimes operating in high-risk/high-stress situations. Pre-employment screening required.
