Responsibilities
The LifeWorks Day School in Levittown, PA is actively hiring certified Special Education Teachers for the 2025-2026 Academic School Year. We are now offering a $10,000 Sign-On Bonus for a certified Special Education Teacher! The LifeWorks Schools are licensed specialty therapeutic day schools for students in middle and high school effected by social, emotional, or behavioral health challenges. LifeWorks comprehensive educational curriculum is individualized and designed to actively engage each student throughout the day to achieve positive, pro-social behavioral and educational outcomes. Our unique balance of academic rigor and a continuum of evidence based educational/therapeutic supports make LifeWorks the regional provider of choice. The Special Education Teacher provides academic and functional instruction to students diagnosed with Autism or Pervasive Developmental Disorder in a school setting; monitors student academic and functional achievement through data collection, observation, and other quantitative methods; observes and records student progress daily; develops and monitors student's IEP, reports, goals, objectives, attends IEP meetings, establishes, maintains, and works toward student goals as outlined in the IEP; manages student behavior through individualized motivational systems, S.M.A.R.T. Bachelor's level degree in Special Education required. PA certification in Special Education is required. Content area certifications preferred. Prior experience working with students with behavioral health challenges within a school setting preferred. EEO Statement
