Warehouse Associate, 2nd Shift – Cardinal Health

Shift Details
2:30 PM – 11 PM (or until work is completed)
Monday – Friday
Mandatory Overtime
Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED preferred
1–2 years related experience preferred
Previous material handling experience preferred
Radio frequency (RF) scanner and/or voice‑to‑pick experience highly preferred
Ability to consistently lift 50 lbs and bend, reach, stoop, lift, and stand for an entire shift of 8 + hours required
Must be able to work overtime with little to no advance notice
Willingness to learn to operate material‑handling equipment and rotate into various areas of the warehouse
Work at heights up to 25 ft consistently
Adherence to site safety regulations, including wearing required personal protective equipment (steel‑toed safety shoes, safety harness, etc.) and accountability to Cardinal Health’s EHS, QRA policies, and procedures
Aptitude to work in a fast‑paced distribution environment while meeting hourly established distribution quotas and performance standards
Responsibilities
Cross‑train in multiple areas of the warehouse including Inbound, ValueLink, and Outbound
Receive large boxes on the warehouse dock, scan product with RF scanner, and input product information into the computer
Break down cases of product and operate heavy equipment to replenish the warehouse
Palletize large items to skid and wrap for shipment
Pack small items in boxes
Drive material‑handling equipment as required by job duty; equipment includes order picker (cherry picker), forklift, reach truck, turret truck, pallet jack, and walkie–rider
What Warehouse Operations Contributes To Cardinal Health
Warehouse Operations is responsible for performing/controlling manual or automated tasks necessary for receipt, storage, and shipment of product
Functions include receiving, picking, packing, shipping, staging, transporting, storage, delivery, etc.
Supports efficient flow of products from vendors to internal and external customers via prescribed service parameters
Expectations at This Level
Apply acquired knowledge and skills to complete standard tasks
Learn and apply new information and methods to work in assigned area
Maintain appropriate licenses, training, and certifications
Work on routine assignments requiring problem resolution
Follow standard operating procedures and/or scientific methods
Adhere to all quality guidelines
Work under moderate supervision
Regular review of output by work lead or supervisor
Refer complex/unusual problems to supervisor
Pay & Benefits Pay Rate:
$19.75 per hour (includes shift differential)
