NETA II Field Technician (Field Technician II) Pay
Pay:
$32-48/hr Job Summary
The Field Technician II will inspect, test, and maintain high, medium, and low voltage electrical power equipment, including SF6 & vacuum circuit breakers, transformer systems, grounding, instrument transformers, and switches. Technicians will implement safety policies and support senior technicians. Responsibilities
Perform entry-level testing of high, medium, and low voltage equipment independently while collaborating with Senior Technicians. Consult manuals, schematics, wiring diagrams, and engineering personnel to troubleshoot and resolve equipment problems. Prepare and maintain reports detailing all tests, repairs, and maintenance performed. Troubleshoot, repair, replace, and clean equipment and components. Qualifications
Required Pass a pre-employment drug screen. Pass a satisfactory criminal background check. Ability to work overtime and travel out of town for periods of time. Valid driver's license and the ability to maintain a good driving record. Preferred Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Experience with Voltage Verification, Contact Resistance, Insulation Resistance, Test Equipment Set Up, reading one-line drawings, understanding equipment identification and hazards. Practical application of electrical theory and hazards (LOTO, Arc Flash, Grounding, reading electrical schematics). Ability to test breakers, transformers, CTs, PTs, cables, and grounding equipment without supervision. Education and Experience
Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in Electrical/Electronic Technology or related field. 2–4 years of relevant industry experience. NETA II certification. Physical Requirements
Ability to climb ladders, stand for extended periods, and lift up to 70 lbs. Benefits
