ALL ABOUT ON DEMAND You can work as much or as little as you like as an On-Demand Team Member (TM). Your schedule may vary depending on shift availability and store needs. This role is ideal for those looking for a personalized work schedule.

Your schedule is created by picking up shifts posted by leaders or other team members via the myTime mobile scheduling app. Reliable and prompt attendance is necessary. You must pick up and work shifts at least once every 4 weeks (minimum of four hours). Flexibility may be granted, but you must respond to our attempts to contact you to confirm your interest in working shifts. If you do not respond, your employment may be terminated. Additionally, if you do not work at least one shift within 5 months, your employment will be administratively terminated.

Should you be offered a position, you will attend a Target Welcome orientation and commit to a short-term structured training schedule. After that, you can pick shifts using myTime.

Advocates of both in-store and digital services and solutions. Empowered to make shopping quick and easy for guests at the checklanes, guest services, gift registry, pick-up and drive up while ensuring exceptional quality.

Typical Day & Responsibilities

Demonstrate a service culture that prioritizes the guest service experience.

Create a welcoming experience by greeting guests while completing daily tasks.

Engage with guests to help solve their specific needs.

Be knowledgeable about tools, products, and services to solve issues and improve experience.

Thank guests and express appreciation.

Scan and bag items efficiently, accurately, complying with food safety standards.

Minimize guest wait time while maintaining service and accuracy.

Inform guests about current and upcoming brand launches, store activities and events.

Explain Target Loyalty program benefits and assist with application or sign-up.

Show guests how to use Wallet and other features within the Target App.

Attempt every return and follow register prompts, partnering with leaders as needed.

Partner with leaders to de-escalate situations and recover the guest experience.

Deliver accurate service to Order Pick Up, Drive Up, and Registry guests.

Maintain a clean, clutter‑free work area.

Stock supplies during store hours while available for guests.

Demonstrate a culture of ethical conduct, safety and compliance.

Work safely, comply with safety policies, and report hazards.

Support guest services such as OPU, DU Orders, DU Returns, maintaining compliance with beverage laws.

Support Cash Office processes and manage cash systems as needed.

Perform other duties as required by business needs.

Accurately handle cash register operations and support cash office as needed.

Safely move merchandise, including lifting up to 10 pounds routinely and up to 44 pounds occasionally.

Flexibility to pick up shifts on nights, weekends, holidays.

Active engagement by picking up and working shifts; respond to contact attempts.

Remain mobile throughout shift (shift length varies).

Work in varying temperatures, humidity, etc. including Drive‑Up, carryout.

Training & Development Target provides training to teach everything needed to become a Guest Advocate.
