Lead Seamstress – Tailor (Full Time)

Responsibilities
Welcome all customers with genuine enthusiasm over the phone and in person, communicate clearly and concisely, adapt style to suit customers, problem‑solve, and resolve conflicts.
Drive customer loyalty by making follow‑up calls to maximize appointments for bridal and dress services.
Act as Floor Manager during peak sales times to offer fit and alterations consultations.
Assist stylists in closing sales by consulting customers regarding gown fit, customization, and the role of alterations; promote all alteration services and personalization options.
Lead and oversee all alterations fittings, sewing, steaming, pressing, and spot‑cleaning of garments to company standards.
Maintain quality‑control guidelines; inspect all altered, steamed, and pressed garments to ensure pristine condition before delivery to the customer.
Train Alterations Specialists in fitting and sewing techniques.
Provide ongoing product education for all Alterations team members.
Communicate daily sales goal achievements to the Store Manager.
Use approved systems and processes to manage the customer’s flow, delivering a 5‑Star Customer Experience.
Maintain high dress‑code standards per company policy.
Physical Demands
Stand, walk, sit for extended periods; reach for tools and objects; climb stairs; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk to and hear customers.
Occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.
Require good vision for close and long‑range tasks, and the ability to read and use a computer and other electronic devices for long periods.
Education & Credentials
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Prior sewing experience preferred, particularly in a bridal or special‑occasion production environment.
1–2 years of prior retail experience in an apparel or specialty store.
Experience with a computerized POS system and ability to use it.
