Job Title: Summer Camp Instructor – Elementary

Job Description Harford Community College is seeking qualified elementary instructors for our Summer Youth Camps. Camp season begins on June 22, 2026, and continues through August 14, 2026. Camp information & catalog can be found online at

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: planning and implementing camp curriculum; coordinating daily operations and safety procedures; maintaining supply inventory; communicating effectively with campers, camp staff, and parents/guardians; and performing other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Available Camp Weeks:
Week 1: Spotlight and Song
Week 2: Spotlight and Song
Week 3: Spies and Detectives
Week 4: Roblox, Tumble and Twist
Week 7: Cool Cuisine AM, Mario Kart, Knights of the Galaxy
Week 8: Mini Chef, School of Wizardry, Spies and Detectives, Superhero Academy
Instructors are required to attend employee training scheduled for the week of June 8th. Instructors are not required to be available for all camp weeks.
Employees must be residents of Maryland or the contiguous states of Delaware, Pennsylvania, Virginia, West Virginia or the District of Columbia.
Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States, as the College does not offer Visa sponsorship for this position.
Required Education Bachelor's degree or certification in the appropriate field.
Required Experience One year of teaching, childcare, camp, or coaching experience.
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Ability to successfully pass an FBI, MD, and CJIS background screening.
Preferred Qualifications One year of summer camp experience.
General Weekly Work Schedule Half‑day camp operating hours are 8:45 a.m. to 12:15 p.m., Monday through Friday.
Full‑day camp operating hours are 8:45 a.m. to 4:15 p.m., Monday through Friday, with one‑hour duty‑free lunch break.
