Responsibilities

Install a work area outlet for floor (i.e., monument), modular furniture (surface mount box), and wall (box eliminator).

Drop cable down a wall using fish tape or other method, route cable through modular furniture.

Perform pre‑termination procedures: organize, form, dress cables, determine length and slack, and label cables.

Suspend and support cable correctly using cable tray, J‑hook, D‑rings, Bridal rings, or Trapeze.

Build closets – mount and install backboards, cross‑connects, racks, patch panels, fiber optic and hardware.

Install grounding for racks, equipment and cable as required.

Perform fire‑stopping procedures on fire walls, install sleeves, pull cable through sleeves and core penetration.

Terminate low‑voltage devices.

Qualifications

Proven skill level in cable installation, punchdown, structured cabling, and low‑voltage termination.

Ability to interpret blueprints, specifications, reporting, and quality requirements.

Strong written and verbal communication; perform work at heights, on ladders, in confined spaces.

Ability to lift up to 50 lb and move up to 75 lb.

Color vision, ability to read small print, hear audible signals such as dial tones.

Willingness to travel within branch or regional territory as needed.

Job Type & Location Contract position based out of Altoona, IA.

Pay & Benefits Pay range: $18.00–$22.00 per hour.
